“Now is it me?” — A phrase black folks often use )1) to seek clarification and (2) to get the approval and support of others. This is usually said before throwing shade (or insulting someone just to be messy). -
“You’re doing the most!” — Often said in response to a person who the user feels is not simply doing something BOTH unnecessary and detrimental. -
“(negative adjective) + ass.” — Used to denigrate another person. i.e. “with yo’ stankin’ ass” -
“You stay mad.” — You are constantly irritated by things that should not be irritating you. Relax. -
“Let a Black person had did/said that…………” — Used when a white person gets away with something egregious. -
“Shiiiiiid…” — African American Proverb. An exaggerated form of the word “shit”.
